BIOGRAPHY

      Pat plays the Irish Uilleann pipes and sings traditional Irish songs. She hails originally from East Cork (southern Ireland), and  she lives now in Greystones, Co.Wicklow.

       She holds a degree in music from University College Cork, where she had a particular focus on traditional Irish music, under the tutelage of the late Dr Micheál Ó Suilleabháin.

     While a student at UCC she started learning the Uilleann pipes with the renowned piper, the late Tomás Ó Canainn.

      Pat spent some years collecting Irish music and song for both UCC and Muckross House, Killarney, in South Kerry and West Cork, in the 1980's. (Patricia Connery collector)

   She was employed by RTE (the Irish broadcasting station) to catalogue Ciarán Mac Mathúna's music collection and she worked on this with Ciarán Mac Mathúna and Peter Browne. 

     Pat also holds a Diploma in Higher Education (UCC) and a Diploma in Entrepreneurial studies (UCD)

She teaches music at her home in Greystones
